Guarantee
Although no one can truly guarantee
that a puppy will not be afflicted with hip dysplasia or congenital
eye disorders, or any other hereditary diseases, I can guarantee that
I have researched the pedigrees to the best of my abilities.
It is my goal to reduce the odds of producing a defective pup
and at the same time preserve and enhance the breed’s natural
retrieving desire, natural marking ability, and hunting instinct.
By adhering to these high standards, I offer this guarantee
provided the purchaser complies with the stated requirements.
Your Wight Lightning Retriever puppy
comes with a full guarantee that covers any genetic, inherited problem, which
would prevent the dog's hips from being certified by the Orthopedic
Foundation for Animals (OFA) or the dog's eye's from being certified by Canine Eye Registration
Foundation, Inc. (CERF).
Schedule
-
The
puppies’ dewclaws will be removed before they are 3 days old and a
general health check-up by a qualified veterinarian will be
administered.

The
puppies will receive daily Early Neurological Stimulation
from day 3 through 16 as specified on the Bio Sensor Program / Super
Dog Program.

The
puppies will be exposed to all types of sounds (people & radios).
-
The
puppies will be whelped and raised in our house.
-
The
puppies will be wormed at 2, 4 and 6 weeks.
-
The
puppies will be weaned between 4-5 weeks.
-
The
puppies will be exposed to the yard daily for playtime and potty
training (at appropriate age and weather permitting).
-
The
puppies will be exposed to a crate for initial crate training.
-
The
puppies will receive their first series of shots and have a microchip
implanted at 6 weeks of age.
-
The
puppies will be in healthy condition and ready to be shipped or
delivered to their new homes (7-8 Weeks).
Health
Guarantee
For
this Health Guarantee to be in effect, you will need to take your pup
to your veterinarian within three days of delivery for a well-puppy
check-up. This is to ensure that the pup is healthy and sound
at the time that you receive him/her.
If the pup is found to be unhealthy or unsound at the time of
arrival, the pup can be returned to me at your expense with a written
explanation from your veterinarian along with all the paperwork and I
will give you a full refund. This
guarantee is applicable to the original owner and is non-transferable.
Hip
and Eye Guarantee
Wight Lightning Retrievers guarantees that
the puppy's eyes and hips are certifiable until the age of 26 months.
Conditions of guarantee are stated below.
The pup’s
eyes are guaranteed to be CERF certifiable by 26 months of age.
The diagnosis must be made by a Board Certified Veterinary
Ophthalmologist.
The pup’s hips are guaranteed to be
OFA certifiable at 24 months of age.
X-rays must be taken by a Board Certified Veterinarian between
24 and 26
months of age.
If any pup purchased from Wight Lightning
Retrievers is found to have a congenital, inherited eye disorder or hip
dysplasia that prevents certification, and guidelines
stated below have been followed, the buyer will be given a replacement puppy of comparable breeding
and price. If the buyer chooses to receive a puppy of a higher
breeding and price, the price of the dog covered by this guarantee
will apply toward the higher price of the new puppy.
If a planned breeding is not scheduled, the buyer will receive
a full refund. In order for this guarantee to be honored, buyer must abide
by the following conditions:

The dog must carry the prefix name of Wight in its name, when
registered with the American Kennel Club.
For example, Wight’s Lightning Bolt.

The dog's
hips must be X-rayed by a board certified veterinarian and
evaluated by OFA between the age of 6 months and 26 months of age.
The OFA shall be the sole judge regarding hips. Hips must be
rejected by the OFA and not be issued an OFA certification number.
The OFA shall be the sole judge regarding hips.
I must receive a
copy of
the X-rays and a copy of the OFA results.

The
dog's eyes must be examined by a Board Certified Veterinary
Ophthalmologist before 26 months of age, rejected by CERF and not given a CERF number.
CERF shall be the sole judge of hereditary eye problems.

The dog must be returned back to Wight Lightning Retrievers
along with his/her registration papers that are to be transferred back
to Wight Lightning Retrievers. This copy of the guarantee must
accompany the dog.

All the transportation charges are to be paid by the owner.
The
dog must not be used for breeding until certified by OFA
and CERF. If dog has sired or whelped a litter, then this guarantee is
void.

This guarantee applies only to the original owner and is
non-transferable.
It is understood that
this guarantee covers congenital, hereditary defects. Any physical
accident, improper nutrition, or injury to the dog voids this
guarantee.
If for any reason you cannot keep your
puppy, please contact me and I will try to help you find a suitable
home for the puppy.
I want to ensure that all of our puppies have the excellent
homes that they deserve.

I further acknowledge that if I choose not to comply with the
terms of this contract, the Health Guarantee Contract is void.
